Spring Picture Session

My sister, Holly takes the most wonderful pictures and of course, one of her favorite subjects is her niece Emily!! We went out Sunday afternoon and she took 399 pictures of this little beauty. Doing anything with a 2 1/2 year old is a challenge, but she did really well and Holly got some good pictures! We took them in downtown Woodstock and in our neighborhood. Here are some of my favorites even though it was really hard to choose from the 50 or so GREAT ones!

Papa's Purple Heart

Emily and I took Steve to the MARTA yesterday morning so he could go to the airport. He was flying to Fayetteville for his dad's Purple Heart presentation that was at 5:00 tonight. He has been fighting to receive his Purple Heart for 43 years. It is much deserved and we are very proud of him.

Late last night I wrote on the fb wall of channel 40/29. They had asked what was going on tomorrow and did anyone have a good idea for a story. I wrote about Henry receiving the Purple Heart and one of the reporters immediately emailed me back. She asked if they could go to the house when he received it. I called Steve and made sure it was ok before I wrote back. I requested they put the story online so all of his family and friends outside the NWA area could see it.

Blog Facelift!

I've been trying to blog more often...and stay off Facebook! LOL! So, I thought it was time for a makeover. I really like it...it's elegant and simple at the same time. I totally freaked out because in the transition I thought I had erased everything! Anyway, what do you think??

Date Night!!

Steve surprised me last night and took me to Studio Movie Grill.

This is a great concept! It's like a regular movie theater with the big screen, but instead of the regular seating it has big office type chairs that are comfy and recline. There's also a counter/table in front of your seat where the MENU is...

That's right you get to order dinner/drinks and watch a movie. It was fun!

We saw...

I loved this movie. Not only because it had Matthew McConaughey in it, but it did help! :)

Camping Out...In the hall!!

I could not sleep at all last night! I woke at 4:30 this morning and went in to check on Emily. I SOOO wish I would have had my camera...she was laying asleep in the hallway outside her room with her door shut. She had a blanket folded up under her head for a pillow, a blanket on top of her and all her stuffed animals surrounding her. I have no idea how long she was out there, but I'm assuming all night because we had put her in her room 3 times already! It was so cute I wanted to put it in the blog so I would remember it.

Olivia and Panda Bear, Panda Bear

Holly and I took Emily to Barnes and Noble for storytime with Olivia the Pig today. She was in heaven with all of those books. There were so many she didn't want to listen or read just one! So, with that said, lets just say the "storytime" did not go so well. She didn't want to sit still and listen, so she kept on getting up and going to get other books to read to herself.

I have a book with a panda bear on the front of it and Emily is obsessed with it. She says, "I want my paapaa bear book." I was on the hunt for her own "paapaa bear" book. We found this

I gave it to her and said, look it's a panda bear book!!! She opened it up and started reading it! Holly and I looked at each other and Holly said, how does she know that?! I guess they read that book at school, because I've never seen the book in my life! It was pretty funny!
