Our 1st Lesson in Potty Training...

I know she's only 15 month, but I think it's never too early to start! I don't expect her to be fully potty trained in a couple of months (even though I was at 18 months). I'm just introducing it to her a little at a time, so maybe it won't be so hard. This was our 1st lesson! :) Hopefully, she won't put the pot on her head after she uses it! I can just see it now!

She's Scarred For Life...

That's what I told my Mom after we left the mall from seeing Santa. She was fine waiting in line (FOR 45 MIN!!). We got up to the big guy and my Mom was holding her. We were talking to Santa waiting for the photographer to get ready. My Mom said she started to hold on to her really tight and I was like uh oh! We sat her down and it happened, she started screaming bloody murder! She DID NOT like the big man in the red suit with a beard! We got 2 pics and Santa said you can get her now (like hurry up! :)) As soon as I picked her up the tears turned off like a light switch! As we were waiting for the picture to be printed she was waiving "bye bye" to Santa. We think she felt bad for hurting his feelings and crying on his lap!
This is last year!! :)

What I'm Thankful For...

Emily with Aunt Dory

Aunt Dory got out Granny's old spools of thread for Emily to play with. She loved them..hmmm Christmas present??

And of course, she had to climb on everything Granny had!

She got to meet her cousin that is 2 weeks younger than her. Natalie is Steve's cousin Schade's little girl. She was so cute. It was funny to see them interact and talk to each other like they knew what they were talking about!

Crash! On the way home from Granny's.

We came back to Fayetteville to eat with my Mom. She helped my put up the Christmas tree (Emily helped too). We had a good day!

P.S. I will always remember Thanksgiving last year because Emmy laughed for the first time. That laugh is the best thing ever and makes my bad days good!

Words...

Emily is talking more and more these days. She's actually saying words that I understand instead of babbling all the time. She said "dance" today, but of course I didn't get it on video. But, I did get her saying "dog" and waiving bye bye! So adorable!

Go Hogs Go!!

Is this not the cutest shirt?! Even Steve liked it! Pretty sure the only reason was because it said "Walker" on it! I got it here!

Happy Halloween!

Some people thought I was a lamb, but I had a little dog tag that said Fi Fi. So, I was Fi Fi the pink poodle! We went to Gigi's house and played for a while and then went to the mall and saw Nana. After that, we had a surprise for baby Addison. So, we went to her house for a few minutes. I was so tired!! I only had one nap all day, but mom said I was a trooper!

What a good lil' momma!

It's crazy to me how much children learn in such a short amount of time. She just turned 13 months and amazes me every with the new things she does!

Where A Kid Can Be A Kid!

Emily had her first Chuck E Cheese experience last Sunday. Steve said we needed to buy her a body condom before we went because of all the germs. I think I used a whole bottle of hand sanitizer! She didn't like Chuck E at first, but then got use to him and was kissing his feet. Literally, I would say, "Emmy give him a kiss" and she would lean down and kiss his feet. It was so cute!

Here she is holding on to her Daddy for dear life!

Uh Oh!!

Someone is getting too big for her britches!

Birthday Party {part 2}

The cupcake! Holly's idea, of course. We got a piece of plywood, outlined the cupcake, painted it and then cut the hole for the cherry!

Emily is my cherry on top! She's the best!

The spread! We had mini sandwiches, dips and chips, potato salad, pasta salad, cheese and crackers and fruit. Notice the handmade ribbon garland that Holly worked on during her lunch hour at work.

Cupcake bar. Holly made mini cupcakes. We bought white spray icing and then had different colored sugar and sprinkles for the kids to decorate.

The carnation cupcakes. So cute! I got little terra cotta pots, put floral foam inside and arranged 4-5 carnations, then put the candle in the middle.

The cake! I found what I had wanted on pinkcakebox.com. They have beautiful cakes. I took the picture to Chuck's and they did a wonderful job. I looks just like the picture!

The cupcake tower. It was just a plain cupcake tower and Holly hot clued a pink tutu and boa to the bottom. Then, spray painted a "1" pink and added a cupcake to the side for the top.

These were the favor bags with the cute personalized stickers I bought. They say "Thank you for making Emily's 1st Birthday so sweet".

What was in the favor bags:

*Water with a piece of cupcake paper wrapped around the top

*Cupcake tattos

*Cupcake kalediscopes

* Cupcake Rice Crispy

*Cupcake bubbles

Rice Crispy cupcakes that Holly made. She cut them out with a cupcake cookie cutter, dipped then in white chocolate, put sprinkles and a red m&m on top.

Mini Reese's cupcakes! Holly put them on lollipop sticks and used a can of the white spray icing, then put sprinkle and a mini m&m on top. Too bad she left them in the truck for just a minute and they all melted. They were my fav!
