We are so blessed!

We have such a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Here are a few pictures my sister took while she was in town. They turned out so good. Everyone I show them to has thought they were professional shots.

Family Cookout

Steve's sister Sharon and her husband Pat were in town from Virgina this weekend, so we decided to have a cookout. It's been 8 years since all three Walker kids (Sharon, Susan and Steve) have been together. Also, it was a good time for everyone to meet Emily. She was asleep for most of the time, but everyone got their cuddle time with her.

I live with the paparazzi!

I'm pretty sure Emily thinks she is a star (which she is) and lives with the paparazzi aka mommy! She's getting used to the flash now, so she'll be a pro at not blinking by the time she is 2 weeks old.

My First Bath!

Today I gave Emily her first bath. At first I thought she wasn't going to like it, but once I got the warm water on her she was fine and loved it.

1st Doctors Appointment

Today was Emily's 1st drs appt. This was also my first day to get out of the house. Steve was mowing the lawn and I needed to take a shower, so I put Emily in her bouncy seat outside the shower. She did great and didn't wake up the whole time I was getting ready (blow drying my hair and all).

She weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and everything looked great! Here are a few pictures before and during the appointment. Notice she was "smiling" before the appointment, but not much "smiling" going on during! She got pretty mad when I had to take her clothes off to get weighed.

The First Few Days!

We were able to come home on Wednesday around 5 pm. Here are a few pictures of our sweet precious angel!

Introducing Miss Emily Brooke Walker

She is finally here! My water broke around 2 pm on Sunday (7th), went to the hospital and I was on Pitocin by 4:00 in order to start my contractions. By 4:00 am Monday I hadn't progressed very much, but was in extreme pain. So, I had to give in and get the epidural. Everyone who knows me knows I was anti-epidural. Now, it's after 12:00 and I'm finally at 10 cm so I can start pushing. Emily Brooke was born at 2:32 pm on September 8, 2008 weighing 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 1/4 inches long. She is the most beautiful thing in the whole world!

WOW!!!

Only 11 official days left before my due date. Steve took a couple pictures of me tonight. I looked at them and said, does my belly really look like this? Fortunately, for him he didn't say a word. :)I guess this is why I haven't looked in a mirror lately. Oh, well it's almost over and I'll soon get to see our baby girl.
