Show and Tell

Emily moved up to a new class at her school last week. It's kind of bittersweet! I loved her old teacher Miss Michele, and so did Emily. Miss Michele had been her teacher for a year. I'm sure I'll like her new teachers just fine, but I like consistency!

Anyway, today was her first show and tell. When she got up this morning I asked her want she wanted to take to school for show and tell. She put her finger on her chin and said, hmmm, I wanna take my mommy!" I said you can't take your mommy, what else do you want to take, she said, "I want to take my Emily!" (our neighbor). I then said ok, it has to be a toy and opened the toy box. She picked her stethoscope. We practiced how to say it on the way to school. She did pretty good...stetha-scock!

Easter Weekend

My awesome neighbors invited Emily and I to eat lunch with them on Saturday. We went to her Aunt's in-laws house. It's about 15 mins from out house, but seems like you're way out in the country. It was so beautiful and they were all so nice. Emily got to ride her first horse (I'm not counting the pony at the fair). Of course, she was fearless and loved it. Then, the kids hunted eggs. She had a great time!

On Sunday we went to church with Mike and Holly and then went to eat at Dreamland BBQ. We were sad Steve wasn't with us, but it was a good weekend!

Trash or Treasure???

If my mom would have EVER told me I would one day drive by someone's house and take trash from their curb to I would have called her a liar! LOL

Holly and I were driving in my neighborhood and saw this little plastic picnic table out on the curb. It had been there for a couple of days and I wanted to take it, but I didn't have the nerve. Holly did! She went up to their door and asked to make sure it really was trash, then we loaded it in the back of the car.

It didn't look pretty, but I knew I could paint it with plastic spray paint and it would be all good. Here are a few before and after pics. I think it looks great and I saved a couple of bucks!

Emily loves eating lunch or dinner at the table outside.
