Ready For Bed

Every night when I put Emily down for bed I turn on her mobile. This is what she does pretty much every time!

Too Cute!

These are some older pictures I haven't posted that Steve took with his phone. Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks off!!

Carrots!

When we went to the doctor on Wednesday she said it was time to start solid foods. She's been eating rice in her morning and night bottles for about 2 weeks now. Today when Steve and I had our lovely day out by ourselves grocery shopping (my mom was watching Emily) we picked up a jar of each stage 1 veggie and fruit. I decided I wanted to start her on veggies. This girl loved her some carrots!! By these videos you wouldn't have thought this was her first time trying them. She was chowin' down. She did get a little tired and frustrated in the high chair, so we'll probably have dinner in the Bumbo next time.

Sorry about the quality of the videos and pics. I was trying to video, take pics and feed her all at the same time!

4 Month Checkup

The sparkly bandaids are so stylish aren't they?

Today Miss Em had her 4 month checkup. Here are her stats:

Weight-15 lbs 12 ozs (98% percentile) that's an A+ right! :)
Height-25 1/4 inches (95% percentile)
Head-didn't get the measurement, but she's in the 75% percentile

Dr. Denton, who is my favorite by the way said she looked great and was very strong. Steve asked Dr. Denton (as he did Dr. Seale) for her home number in case we need her and the clinic isn't open. Needless to say she didn't give it to us! :)

She got another round of shots this time too. It was a little better this time since the nurse held her down instead of me. Something really funny happened. The nurses came in to give her the shots and they were giggling (keep in mind Steve was in his uniform). Steve said, "what, I know you want to say something." So, one of them said you pulled me over a long time ago. I was like great the lady that's give our baby shots hates my husband. It turned out that she was actually distantly related to him.

Silly Silly Girl!

Jumperoo!

Yesterday I put Emily in her Jumperoo for the first time. She really got the hang of it fast and loved it! She is so silly and I can't believe how big she is getting! It seems like she does something new everyday!

Sick Baby

Emily started getting a runny nose last Sunday. It progressively got worse and she had a horrible cough. Friday morning she was wheezing a little, so I (and Steve) decided it was time to take her to the doctor. I was very impressed with the pediatric clinic. I requested an appointment online at 7:45 am, had a call back within 5 min. and had an appointment at 8:20 am. WOW!! I was told by several people not to expect that every time, but I'm glad my first experience with a sick baby was a good one. The Dr. said Little Em had the beginnings of RSV and an ear infection. Boy am I glad I took her in and things didn't get worse than they already were. She is on an inhaler for her cough and antibiotics for her ear infection. Poor baby, but she's been so good about it...only a little cranky for a day.
