I Heart Me!

That's what her shirt says! It was stormy Saturday morning so we played inside.

Oh my, I think she is so pretty! She standing up just holding on to my finger. I expect her to be walking within a month!

She only likes to chew on her pacifier

Whoa!! Look at that mouth! Her new thing is growling. Maybe she's mimicking Samson?

No More Knobs...

This is a picture of the end table in our living room. Miss Priss has figured out how to open drawers! I was trying to figure out how I could keep her out of them. So, I just removed the knobs! Steve caught her today with a votive candle in her hand that she got out of the drawer. What can I say the girl likes candles like her Mommy!

She's also learned how to get the cabinets opened while in her walker. She's been trying to master this task for a while and finally got it this morning.

We're in for it!!

Out To Eat...

Sunday we went to PF Changs to have dinner. My mom got off work at 6:00, so she was just going to come and get Emily after she got off. We haven't been out to eat with Emily in a while and we won't be going out to eat again anytime real soon. She has a new "trick"! She screams, I mean really loud and for no reason. She's not mad or anything! She just likes to hear her voice. Steve finally had to take her outside because we were "those" parents that had the uncontrollable child. After dinner we went to see "Land of the Lost" with Will Farrell...save your money!! I like Will Farrell, but it was HORRIBLE!

9 Months Old!

For some reason this is BIG month for me. I guess it's that I carried her for 9 months and now she's that age. As I'll say every month I just can't believe it's gone by so fast. I mean the 9 months on the inside went by a lot slower than the 9 months on the outside has!

We went for her 9 month checkup today and saw Dr. Davis. They had to get blood (from her big toe) to check her iron levels. I was like oh, now she' going to throw a fit...and nothing!! They pricked her toe and she jumped a little bit, but not a whimper, grunt, tear or anything. On the other hand, she had to get another shot because they didn't have it last time we were in. She screamed bloody murder! It was one of those cries where they stop breathing. Poor thing! I hated it! Next appointment is her 1 year appointment. :(

9 month stats:
Weight-20 lbs 8 oz (75th percentile)
Height-28" (75th percentile)
Head-75th percentile (can't remember the measurement)

So, all in all she is PERFECT!!

The belly!!
9/1/08 (one week before I had her)

My little precious princess 9 months ago!

I love you more than words can express, baby girl!!

Ballpark Fun!

On Sunday we went to the softball field to watch Steve play in the "Battle of the Badges". It was the police vs. the firemen and Central EMS. Steve's team won, yay! Our friends Emily and Joe got a new puppy, Brewski. He was so cute! Emmy was trying to make friends with him and he got to playing a little too rough and snapped at her face. She started crying, I think it more scared her than anything. So, she got him back...she got on top of him and bit him (a little too close to the private area too!!!) My friend Tonya and her kids Mackenzie and Kaitlyn were there too. They are getting to be so big. I can't believe I worked with Tonya when she was pregnant with Kaitlyn! Emily loves other kids and Mackenzie was no exception (she was a great babysitter too)!

We had a great time!

Bumbo Babysitter? Yeah Right!

I've heard the Bumbo called the Bumbo Babysitter...not anymore!! Steve got home early this morning around 5:00 am. He is suppose to get off at 11:00 pm, but a drunk driver hit his car last night. Just a fender bender thank goodness. Anyway, Emily and I went upstairs so he could sleep. I turned on the tv and put her in her Bumbo so I could run downstairs really quick and make a bottle. I closed the door too, just in case I didn't want her falling down the stairs (I'm really scared of that right now). I go back up, open the door and this is what I see. She had gotten out somehow and was pulling up on the Bumbo.

Then, she was playing with her activity center and she pulled it over on top of her. It's not heavy at all, so it's no big deal. But, now that she's learned she can do it she did it over and over again. She would pull it on top of her and just lay there until I came and pulled it off and then do it all over again. What a crazy girl! I have a feeling I'm going to have my hands FULL!! She's a mess and I love it!
Do you see a baby under there? :)

This is what it's suppose to look like.
